So, we clean the cabbage head from the upper damaged leaves.

Around the stump with a sharp knife we make deep cuts (ideally, we cut it out completely).

Put the head of cabbage in a saucepan, fill it with salted hot water and put on low heat.

The leaves of young cabbage are very tender, so it is not even necessary to boil them - separate them from the head of cabbage with a fork and carefully remove them from the pan so as not to break.

When all the cabbage leaves are removed, cool them.

Now wrap the minced meat in them - I suggest you try mushrooms, lightly fried with onions and carrots, and then mixed with boiled rice until half cooked. This filling goes well with the taste of young cabbage!

Young cabbage leaves are very pliable, so it will be easy to form cabbage rolls. Fry them in a small amount of butter on both sides, transfer to a saucepan, pour cream and boiling water (so that the water slightly covers the cabbage rolls), salt, toss in the bay leaf and a few peas of black pepper.

Simmer over low heat, covered for about 20 minutes - the cabbage should not boil!

Serve hot, with gravy, sprinkle with finely chopped dill.
