How to make French Pear Pie

1. Wash the pears, cut into two parts, carefully cut out the middle. 2. Combine sugar, butter, star anise, cardamom and cinnamon in a refractory skillet, about 20 cm wide, and put on high heat. Wait until the mixture boils. Shake off skillet and stir mixture until sugar caramelized. 3. Put the pears in a skillet, cook them in the sauce for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are caramelized. Pour in brandy and light it. Set the pears aside. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius. 4. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 0.3 cm and cut out a circle. 5. When the pears have cooled slightly, place them on top of the dough, cut upwards in a flower shape. 6. Put the dough on the pears and close the edges. Pierce the dough with a fork and bake for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 180 degrees and bake for another 15 minutes, until the dough is browned. Remove from oven and let stand. Then transfer to a plate upside down.
