This simple recipe uses chickpea and smoked chickpea soup from ready-made (boiled) chickpeas, which can be purchased at the store. As for smoked meats, we will use bacon and sausage.
Cooking description:
Chickpea soup with smoked meats is prepared from cooked and canned chickpeas and two types of smoked meats. I suggest using smoked bacon and sausage. If you don't like thick soups, you can add more water. Tomato puree is usually sold in stores, but you can make it by whipping canned peeled tomatoes with a blender.
How to make smoked chickpea soup?
1. First, prepare all the ingredients for the soup. Cut the bacon into squares, chop the sausage, peel the onion and garlic. Cut the onion into small cubes, chop the garlic.
2. In the saucepan where you will cook the soup, fry the bacon, sausage and onion, stirring occasionally, over medium heat. The by-products should turn golden brown.
3. Add tomato puree, water to the pan, stir.
4. When the liquid in the saucepan begins to simmer slowly, add the garlic, pepper, oregano and chickpeas. Stir.
5. Boil the soup for another 10 minutes over medium-low heat.
Serve smoked chickpea soup with fresh herbs and crispy white bread.
Enjoy your meal!
