These are very aromatic and crunchy sticks, which we will prepare from yeast dough and wrap them in dry-cured ham (proszutto) - this is an excellent combination, so grissini will not only delight your guests with excellent taste, but will also decorate the festive table with its appearance. Be sure to take note of this dish, because with this recipe for making grissini with Parma ham, you will make any holiday brighter and more interesting.
1) We heat the water to 40 degrees and dilute yeast, sugar and salt in it until the granules are completely dissolved. Add olive oil to this mixture and gradually add flour, knead soft and elastic dough. We cover it with a towel and put it in heat for 40 minutes, after the time has passed, we knead it and again leave it to rise for another 30-40 minutes.
2) Now sprinkle the flat surface with semola, spread the dough on it and roll it into a layer about 2-3 cm wide. Cut the layer into strips and roll a sausage from each strip.
3) Cover the baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the grissini on it, leave them to rise for 15-20 minutes. Then we send it to the oven, preheated to 220 degrees, and bake for 15 minutes.
4) When a ruddy crust forms on the chopsticks, remove them from the oven and set to cool. Then wrap each grissini in a slice of Parma ham.
