Puffs with mushrooms are tasty, quick and cheap. Fans of mushroom dishes will appreciate these pastries.
Cooking description:
Most often I bake puffs with mushrooms in the fall - at the very mushroom season. It's so delicious - freshly picked fried mushrooms, light and crunchy puff pastry. These puffs are especially good for evening tea. There is practically no hassle with their preparation, they cook quickly, I always have dough in the freezer. I am telling you how to make mushroom puffs.
1. Take out the puff pastry from the freezer and leave to defrost at room temperature.
2. We clean the mushrooms, wash and cut into small pieces. I do not boil champignons and oyster mushrooms, but I recommend boiling mushrooms from the forest for 10-15 minutes. Then drain the mushroom broth.
3. Peel, wash and chop the onion.
4. Fry mushrooms in vegetable oil together with onions until tender, salt and pepper.
5. It's time to do the test. Slightly roll out a layer of dough and cut into squares with sides about 10 by 10 cm.
6. Place the filling in the center of each square and form puffs. You can make them triangular, you can close them up with an envelope, or you can do it as I have in the photo. I like open puffs with mushrooms more - in open puffs the filling is drier.
7. Put the puffs on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees until golden brown.
Enjoy your meal!
