Somehow I thought about what to cook for dessert. And I came across such a simple Bubert recipe.

Cooking description:

Bubert is a sweet and hearty dish served for breakfast and lunch. Its peculiarity and its difference from cereals is that it is not cooked at all, but only brewed - this gives it a special taste.

Purpose: For the festive table

Main ingredient: Dairy products / Milk

Dish: Desserts

Cuisine geography: Latvian

Ingredients:

  • Wheat Flour - 0.5 Cups (Premium)
  • Milk - 0.5 Liter
  • Vanilla - 7 Grams (1 sachet)
  • Chicken Egg - 4 Pieces
  • Granulated Sugar - 1/4 Cup

Servings: 4

How to cook "Bubert"

Pour milk into 2 halves. Pour the first half into a saucepan and cook over medium heat until boiling. If you are afraid that milk may escape, grease the edges of the pan with butter. Pour flour into the remaining half of the milk and mix well. Pour the resulting mixture into a saucepan with milk and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes. At the same time, do not forget to stir so that the flour does not stick. In general, this recipe for making bubert is different in that we will not add semolina, as is done in the classic recipe for making bubert. Now let's get down to the cream. To do this, we will separate the yolks from the whites. We don't throw out the squirrels, we still need them. Pour half of the prescribed amount of sugar and vanilla into the yolks, and beat them. We carefully pour our dairy-flour mixture to them, not forgetting to beat. And we leave it to cool. Beat the whites, having previously well washed the corolla from the yolks. After beating the whites until foamy, slowly begin to add sugar to them, while continuing to beat. After the whites have been whipped until creamy, add them to the settled mass. Leave the cream to cool for 15-20 minutes. The cream can be served in bowls, sprinkled with any jam. Enjoy your meal!
