Let's prepare Korean-style cauliflower for the winter at home. If you do not plan to close the cabbage for the winter, then after pickling it can be consumed within 5-6 hours. If you are preparing conservation, I advise you to sterilize the cans and lids in advance in order to do everything as quickly and correctly as possible. Cabbage can easily be stored in a cool place until winter and even longer. Good luck!

Ingredients:

  • Cauliflower - 1 Kilogram
  • Carrots - 3 Pieces
  • Garlic - 1 Piece (head)
  • Pepper - To taste
  • Coriander - To taste
  • Sugar - 1 Glass (marinade for 1 liter of water)
  • Vinegar - 1/2 Cup (marinade for 1 liter of water)
  • Vegetable oil - 1/4 Cup (marinade for 1 liter of water)
  • Salt - 2 Tbsp. spoons (marinade for 1 liter of water)

How to cook "Korean cauliflower for the winter"

We disassemble the cauliflower into inflorescences and boil in boiling water for 4 minutes. Then transfer the cauliflower to a deep saucepan. In parallel, we prepare the marinade. Boil a liter of water and add sugar, salt, vinegar and oil to it. Let the brine boil for 4 minutes and fill it with cabbage. We are waiting for it to cool down. Add chopped garlic, grated Korean carrots, pepper and coriander to the cooled marinade. Gently mix everything and leave to marinate for 5-6 hours. To prepare cabbage for the winter, you need to put only boiled cabbage in sterilized jars, add carrots, garlic and spices. Pour everything with marinade, close and wrap in a warm blanket for a day. Store in a cool and dark place. Enjoy your meal!
