I really like to make and then eat such preparations - in winter, especially when the holidays come, you can't do without them. This is a simple recipe for mushroom salad for the winter I use most often, my mother shared it with me, and now I will tell you how to make such a delicious appetizer. There is nothing difficult here, to make a mushroom salad for the winter at home you will need the following products and about two hours of time, so let's get started:

1) Mushrooms need to be prepared in advance, boiled and cut into small pieces, but not very finely. Next, clean the vegetables, chop the cabbage, cut the onions into cubes, and three carrots on a coarse grater.

2) Put mushrooms, onions and carrots in a deep thick-walled pan, add vegetable oil and put the pan on the fire, simmer everything, stirring, for about 30 minutes.

3) Next, we add sugar and salt to vegetables and mushrooms, as well as tomato paste, simmer everything over high heat for another 5 minutes.

4) After that, put the cabbage in a saucepan, make a small fire and simmer our salad for 40 minutes, do not forget to stir it so that it does not burn. After the time has passed, add your favorite spices and vinegar to the dish, mix everything again and turn off the heat.

5) While the mushrooms and vegetables were stewing, we already had to sterilize the jars with lids so that they were ready. We lay out the hot salad in the jars, roll them up and leave them upside down under the blanket until they cool completely.

We store the salad in a cool, dark place, and when a good reason comes, we take out the jar and serve the snack to the table. Enjoy your meal!
