- Baton - 1 Piece
- Beets - 1 Piece (medium size, boiled or baked)
- Eggs - 2 Pieces (boiled)
- Cheese - 100 Grams (hard varieties)
- Pickled cucumber - 1 Piece (medium size)
- Lightly salted herring - 150 Grams (boneless fillet)
- Greens - 1 Bunch (I took dill)
- Mayonnaise - 2 Tbsp. spoons
How to cook "Herring under a fur coat in a loaf"
Prepare all the ingredients in advance. Put beets to boil or bake, boil eggs. Cut the fish fillets into long, thin slices. Slice the pickles in the same way. They can be peeled off, but this is not necessary. Now let's move on to the beets. After cooking, it must be cooled and peeled. Rub it on a grater (I use a fine one for this). Also in a separate container, grate hard cheese. Mash the hard-boiled eggs separately. It is convenient to use a fork for this. Put half of the cheese mass on a separate plate. Transfer half of the grated cheese to the eggs, and the other half to the beets. Add 1 tablespoon mayonnaise to each plate. Stir well. You can add salt if you like. Now let's get to the base - the loaf. We cut it in half lengthwise (without cutting, to the very end). We clean out all the pulp from it, there should be "bare walls". We spread the beet-cheese mixture there, carefully and carefully distribute it throughout the loaf from the inside. Now we spread the mixture of eggs and cheese there, smear everything in the same way.
