I often call this fried pita with cottage cheese "summer pizza". After all, the appetizer is good both hot and cold. It all consists of healthy products, so you will also stock up on vitamins!
Cooking description:
I spied such an original, but simple recipe for fried lavash with cottage cheese in one foreign TV show. There, however, they used Philadelphia cheese for the lower layer, and Feta for the upper layer, and instead of a cucumber they took thinly sliced zucchini. But I was too lazy to go to the store, and I don’t dare to eat zucchini raw - and this is how this adapted version appeared. It turned out very tasty!
Purpose: For lunch / Quickly
Main ingredient: Dairy products / Cottage cheese / Lavash
Dish: Snacks
Ingredients:
- Georgian lavash - 1 Piece (choose a large, plump and rounded flat cake)
- Cucumber - 0.5 Pieces
- Spinach - 0.5 Bunch
- Cottage cheese - 200 Grams
- Sour cream - 1 To taste (can be replaced with any sauce)
- Spices - 1 To taste
- Olive oil - 1 To taste
Servings: 1-2
How to cook "Fried lavash with cottage cheese"
1. Mix about half of the curd with sour cream or other sauce until pasty. Salt, pepper and spices - at your discretion. Grease the pita bread generously and spread the cucumber slices. 2. Next, spread the spinach leaves and sprinkle them with oil. I pre-mixed the oil with garlic powder for the scent. 3. Now sprinkle the remaining cottage cheese on top. I also added a little salt and spices to the curd, but this is not necessary. We put it in a frying pan, and keep it on low heat under the lid until the cottage cheese on top changes color. Done! We take out, cut and serve!
