I am one of those people who can do without first courses for a month, but as soon as I remember about the hodgepodge (first course) I certainly want to taste it, and, accordingly, cook it.
Solyanka (first course) is not cooked with potatoes, but it seems to me that the dish is too fatty and incomplete if there are no potatoes and too much smoked meat. Therefore, in order to relieve the burden of such a dish, I put potatoes. If you are of the same opinion, then throw diced potatoes (about 4-5 pcs) into the boiling broth. Then add our tomato frying and further according to the recipe, how to cook a hodgepodge with chicken and sausage.

How to cook "Solyanka with chicken and sausage"
Onions must be peeled and diced. We cut various types of smoked sausage products into strips. Place the chicken fillet in a saucepan. Pour in water and cook. I have a 3 liter saucepan. While the meat is cooking, peel the pickles and grate them on a coarse grater. Fry the onion in vegetable oil. Add the grated cucumbers to the lightly browned onion. Pour a little broth from the pan into the pan (2-3 ladles), simmer the cucumbers in the pan over low heat until the liquid has boiled down. Remove the cooked meat from the broth. Cool slightly and cut into small pieces.
