How to cook "Soaked Apple Turkey"
Wash the purchased turkey under running water and rub it with dry marinade - mix salt, paprika, ground black pepper, a little cayenne pepper, basil, curry, oregano, coriander. We leave the bird to marinate overnight, but if time permits, then leave it for two days in a cold place. If the pickled apples are large, cut them in half and peel them. But try to choose small apples, then they and the turkey will be tastier later. Grease a baking sheet with vegetable or olive oil and place the pickled turkey on it. We stuff it with soaked apples and send it to an oven preheated to 190 degrees for 30-40 minutes. After half an hour, we look into the oven and pour the turkey well with cranberry juice. We send it back to the oven for 40 minutes. After 40 minutes, reduce the degrees to 170. Pour the fat from the turkey. Cover with foil and put in the oven again for an hour. We repeat this procedure every hour for another 3 hours. The total cooking time for a turkey of this weight is somewhere around 4-4.5 hours.
