If you wish, you can add citrus juice and zest to the caramel, as well as cinnamon or vanillin, for example. - Milk - 1 Glass
- Water - 1 Glass
- Millet - 3/4 Cup (you can add some more rice)
- Butter - 2 Tbsp. spoons
- Sugar - 2 Tbsp. spoons (brown is better)
- Salt - 1 Pinch
- Banana - 2 Pieces
How to cook "Millet porridge with banana"
1. In a saucepan, send water with milk (if you wish, you can use only milk or only water in this simple recipe for millet porridge with banana), put it on fire and bring to a boil. 2. Add a pinch of salt and some sugar if desired. Send the cereal to the pan. After re-boiling, reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, until tender (about 20 minutes). 3. Add butter and sugar to the pan in parallel. Melt it over medium heat, stirring occasionally. 4. Peel the banana, cut it into thin slices. 5. Now place in a frying pan and roll in caramel on all sides. After a couple of minutes, you can remove the pan from the heat. If millet porridge with a banana at home will only be for adults, you can add a little brandy or liqueur to it. 6. When the porridge is ready, serve it to the table, adding bananas. You can also drizzle with honey or condensed milk, for example. Enjoy your meal!
