You can surprise and please your family and friends not only by decorating the tree, but also by preparing it. I will tell you how to make a Christmas tree from puff pastry. A very original version of sweet pastries.

Cooking description:

To prepare such a Christmas tree, you can use purchased puff pastry or make it yourself. I used ready-made chocolate paste as an interlayer between the layers. In addition, you can take poppy seeds, dried fruits or cream. You can make several small Christmas trees, or, like mine, one large one, which will decorate the table and help create a festive mood.

Purpose: For a festive table / New Year

Main ingredient: Dough / Puff pastry / Chocolate

Dish: Baking / Pies

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry - 250 Grams
  • Egg - 1 Piece
  • Chocolate paste - 4 Tbsp. spoons (like "Nutella")

Servings: 6-8

How to make "Puff pastry Christmas tree"

1. Divide the dough into 2 parts, roll one out on a table covered with parchment, then transfer the parchment with the dough to a baking sheet. 2. I spread the chocolate paste onto the dough. 3. I smear it not over the entire surface, but in the shape of a Christmas tree. 4. I roll out the second piece of dough on the table, then lift it up with a rolling pin and cover it with a second layer of dough. 5. With a sharp knife, I cut out the dough in the shape of a triangle, just as I smeared the chocolate paste. I put the rest of the dough aside, but do not throw it away. 6. I cut out a Christmas tree: I cut out a pillar at the bottom, and I make cuts at the edges every 2 centimeters, at the top (on the crown) I do not cut a little.
