- Onion - 1 Piece
- Celery stalks - 3-4 Pieces
- Chicken broth - 1 Liter
- Water - 1 Liter
- Smoked Ribs - 500 Grams
- Cumin - 1 Teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 Teaspoon
- Thyme - 1 Teaspoon
- Garlic - 3-4 Cloves
- Salt - 1 Pinch
- Ground black pepper - 1 pinch
- Bay leaf - 1 Piece
How to cook "Classic Bean Soup"
1 Prepare the beans in advance by soaking them for several hours or overnight. Peel onions, carrots and celery, finely chop. Send to a frying pan preheated with vegetable oil and fry until golden brown. 2 Chop the ribs, put them in a saucepan, cover with water and chicken broth, set to cook. When the broth boils, add the beans, garlic, cumin, paprika, thyme, and bay leaf. Leave the broth to simmer for 3-4 hours until the beans are tender. 3 Next, pepper and taste the soup, the smoked ribs are salty on their own. If there is not enough salt, add salt to the soup. Remove the ribs, cut the meat off, chop and add to the soup. 4 Add the stir-fry to the soup, bring to a boil and simmer for 5-7 minutes until the broth takes on a vegetable flavor. Remove the pan from the heat. Leave the soup for about 30 minutes to steep a little. Sprinkle with herbs on top.
