Cooking description:

The recipe for how to cook a hunting duck sculpt caught my eye when I once again looked through the pages of culinary sites in search of a dish that I could not only diversify our daily and, I confess, a little boring menu, but also please my husband, who loves a hearty and tasty meal. This dish seemed to me very similar to an ordinary stew of potatoes with meat, but it was attracted by the abundance of vegetables in this dish and, of course, by the duck, which gives the dish a unique taste. And what do you think? How to cook "Hunting Duck Shulum"

Prepare all the ingredients you need. I used the back of the duck by cutting it into small pieces to cook faster. Peel potatoes, onions, carrots, peel the bell peppers from the stalks and seeds, and just rinse the tomatoes. You can also use a few cloves of garlic. Grate the carrots on a coarse grater, chop the onion and bell peppers into small cubes. Heat the oil in a large skillet and fry the duck pieces first for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, then add the chopped onions, garlic and carrots, stir and cook, covered for another 10 minutes. In the next step, add the tomatoes, cut into small pieces, to the pan, cover and cook for another 5-7 minutes, until the tomatoes are very soft. Transfer the contents of the pan to the pan, do not forget to pour out all the juices, which remained in the pan. Cut the potatoes into small pieces (larger than the soup) and send to the saucepan. Season with salt, pepper and spices to taste. Pour water over to cover the potatoes by 1 finger. Put on fire and bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer under a closed lid for 1-1.5 hours. Cooking time depends on the variety of potatoes, as well as on the consistency of the dish you want to get. For me, for example, it is painted when the potato retains its shape, does not fall apart. Therefore, I cook this dish for no longer than an hour, during which time the duck has time to stew, and the potatoes remain the way I like.
