Vareniki is a traditional Ukrainian dish. They can be prepared with any filling; dumplings with cottage cheese are especially tasty. To diversify the dish, add some chopped dried fruits - raisins or prunes to the filling. In addition, for convenience, you can use a special mold for making dumplings, but you can also sculpt them by hand.

Ingredients:

  • Cottage cheese - 350 Grams
  • Kefir - 1 Glass
  • Flour - 2 Glasses
  • Soda - 0.5 Teaspoons
  • Salt - 0.25 Teaspoons
  • Egg - 1 Piece
  • Raisins - 3 Art. spoons
  • Sugar - 1 Tbsp. the spoon
  • Starch - 1 Teaspoon

How to cook "Dumplings with cottage cheese for a large family"

1. Prepare the dough: mix flour with soda, salt and kefir. Knead a soft dough and wrap it in a bag. Leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. 2. Prepare the filling: mix cottage cheese with starch, sugar, eggs and raisins. Divide the dough into several parts and roll it into a layer. Place on a dumpling dish. 3. Place the curd filling, then cover it with a second layer of dough. Run the rolling pin over the shape several times to cut the dough. 4. Make a funnel in boiling water, carefully place the dumplings (6-8 pieces). Cook for 3-4 minutes depending on the size; the dumplings should rise to the surface. 5. Remove the finished dumplings with a slotted spoon. Serve with butter. Enjoy your meal!
