- Liquid honey - 2 tbsp. spoons
- Boiled water - 1 Glass
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp. spoons
- Sugar - 1/2 Cup
- Flour - 1.5 Cups
- Salt - 1 Pinch
- Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
Servings: 6-7
How to make Lenten Cupcakes
Prepare all the ingredients you need. Mix honey with vegetable oil and part of the water. Add sugar and a pinch of salt and mix well. Add flour, sifted with baking powder, and stir well to make a very thick mass. Now gradually add the remaining water and stir until the dough is the same consistency as the classic muffin dough. For baking muffins, you can use metal or silicone molds. Lubricate metal molds with vegetable oil, silicone ones do not need such a procedure. I will be baking muffins in paper tins, so I just put them in a metal mold. Place dough in each mold so that it takes up about 2/3 of the space. Place the muffins in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
