How to make "Kvass from yeast and sugar"
1. To make kvass, we need to take two types of bread (black and white). I make kvass using a white loaf. You can take an ordinary white bread brick. Cut both types of bread into cubes. We do not remove the skin. 2. In a preheated oven, brown both types of bread for 7-9 minutes. The bread should be lightly browned. We take it out of the oven. We cool it down. We put the mixture of brown bread crumbs in a jar. Add yeast and sugar. Fill with spring water up to the top of the jar. 3. Place the lid on the jar so that the lid barely touches the jar. Do not close tightly. Kvass will boil and foam. The tightly closed lid will rip off. Place a container under the jar so that the kvass does not flood (during fermentation) the entire surface. Leave the kvass in this form for 3 days. 4. After 3 days, filter the kvass through double folded cheesecloth.Add a little more sugar to taste and serve chilled kvass to the table. 5.
