The fish cakes, which I remember from kindergarten, did not feel like eating at all, so for many years I did not dare to make them myself. I'll tell you about my discovery, how to cook salmon cutlets.
For fish cakes, you can use canned fish, as well as fresh carcass. If you are cooking with whole fish, be sure to remove all the bones, or better twist the minced meat 2 times through a meat grinder. Use red or white fish, whichever you have. Be sure to try both options for yourself to choose the best one.

- Canned Salmon - 400 Grams
- Bread - 1 Slice
- Green Onions - 3 Pieces
- Garlic - 1 Clove
- Dill Sprigs - 2 Pieces
- Salad Pepper - 1/4 Piece
- Flour - 1 Art. the spoon
- Eggs - 1 Piece
- Salt, ground black pepper - To taste
- Vegetable oil - 3 Tbsp. spoons
How to make "Salmon cutlets"
1. Put canned salmon into a bowl, mash it with a fork, add to it a chopped slice of bread, chopped onion, garlic, dill, green salad peppers, a spoonful of flour, beat in an egg, salt and pepper, mix. 2. Form 8 small cutlets from the resulting mass (more or less). 3. Preheat a skillet with vegetable oil, then place the patties. 4. Fry them on both sides until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on one side. 5. Eat cutlets hot or after cooling, serve with a side dish or with a slice of bread.
