- Carrots - 7 Pieces (5 pieces - for broth and 2 pieces - for minced meat)
- Onions - 5 Pieces (2 pcs. For minced meat and 3 pcs. For broth)
- Garlic - 2 Cloves
- Parsley - 1/2 Bunch
- Crackers - 1/2 Cup
- Egg - 4 Pieces
- Sugar - 1 Teaspoon
- Salt - 2 Teaspoons (1 piece for minced meat and 1 piece for broth.)
- Paprika - 1 Teaspoon
- Ground black pepper - 1 teaspoon (1/2 teaspoon for minced meat, 1/2 teaspoon for broth)
How to cook "Fish Cakes the Jewish Way"
Pass the pike fillet through a meat grinder. Add fried onions and crackers. Wash carrots and parsley and chop finely. Add to the minced meat. Add spices and mix well. Cook the broth. Dip vegetables, spices in a pot of water and boil for 30-40 minutes. Form cutlets from minced meat. Fold the cutlets in a baking sheet, garnish with a carrot circle, pour in the broth and send to an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
