I am sharing a recipe for sweet potato pie with lean béchamel sauce on shortcrust pastry. The pie turns out to be unusual, but very tasty!
Cooking description:
Usually sweet potato pie is prepared. But I prefer the natural sweetness of sweet potato combined with garlic and black pepper. More on how to make sweet potato pie below. Steam the sweet potatoes until half cooked, in the oven it will reach. You can bake the pie with a sprig of rosemary or thyme.

Ingredients:
- Shortcrust pastry - 250-300 grams
- Sweet potato - 2-3 pieces
- Soy milk - 1 cup (no sugar)
- Flour - 2 Art. spoons
- Vegetable spread - 1 Art. the spoon
- Salt - To taste
- Dry Garlic - To taste
- Black Pepper - To taste
- Nutritional Yeast - 1 Tbsp the spoon

How to make Sweet Potato Pie
Prepare all ingredients. Peel the sweet potatoes, cut into slices and steam for 15 minutes. In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, fry the flour until golden brown. Add vegetable spread, nutritional yeast, salt, and soy milk. Stir the sauce until thick. Roll out the dough to the diameter of the baking dish. Transfer, form the bumpers. Prick the bottom of the cake with a fork. Arrange the sweet potatoes in a baking dish, alternating layers with the sauce. Season with dry garlic and black pepper on top. Bake the cake for 35 minutes at 190 degrees. Sweet potato pie is ready, bon appetit!
