How to make Caramelized Pumpkin
Prepare the indicated ingredients. Pour granulated sugar into a cauldron or a ladle with a non-stick bottom, pour in lemon juice. Be sure to add juice - it levels the sweetness of sugar and helps it not to crystallize again. Place the container on the stove and bring the syrup to a boil, then reduce the heat. Cut the pumpkin into pieces, remove the seeds and rinse, then cut off the entire skin from the pulp and cut the pulp itself into cubes or medium-sized cubes. Place the pumpkin slices in the boiling syrup and simmer for about 15-20 minutes until tender over moderate heat. When the pumpkin pieces are soft, but keep their shape, turn off the heat. Using a slotted spoon, place the caramalized pumpkin on a plate, straining the syrup. Serve with sour cream of any fat content. The combination of warm pumpkin and chilled sour cream tastes incredible!
