This slicing option is great for large cucumbers that don't fit in jars. Boil water, pour cucumbers, cover and leave for 10 minutes. Pour water into a saucepan, pour in vinegar, add turmeric, sugar and salt. Boil the marinade. Pour the hot marinade over the cucumbers.
