How to make "Rhubarb Compote for the Winter"
Prepare the required ingredients. Wash the petioles. Cut into a length of 4-5 cm. Transfer the rhubarb to a dry, sterile jar. Boil water. Pour the rhubarb so that the water overflows. Cover with a clean lid and let sit for 25 minutes. After the time has passed, drain the liquid. It is advisable to measure the water in order to calculate the amount of sugar. For 1 liter of liquid, 90-100 grams of sugar are needed. In my case, I just got one liter of liquid. Add sugar and put on fire. After boiling, keep on fire for exactly 2 minutes, then remove. Refill the rhubarb with liquid. Close the jar immediately, flip it onto the lid, cover with a warm cloth and leave to cool completely. Then you can put it in a cool place for storage. From the specified amount of ingredients, 1 jar with a volume of 1.5 liters was obtained. Delicious blanks for you!
